I passed out as the batch topper of the MHRM stream from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences in 2018. The program was designed incorporating theoretical as well as practical learning with a sole focus on HR, which was a great learning experience. The exposure to hands-on in the field from the initial days of enrolling on the program through field placements and industry visits helped me acquire the fundamental attitude and values that are the assets of any HR professional.

I finished my Batchelor of Arts in Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University with 76% marks.
As defined by Alfred Marshel, Economics is the study of the ordinary business of life. Economics is the foundation of any society that look forward to growth and development. Learning Economics has helped me in nurturing a mindset that is grounded in the idea of looking for quantifiable outcomes and resource planning.

I did my schooling in Brahmanandodayam School. I passed my higher secondary exam with 93% marks and high school with 97%.
All major subjects such as Science, Maths, Humanities, Languages etc were taught. I had a special inclination towards social science subjects throughout my school days.
One interesting fact is I got the opportunity to learn Sanskrit during my high school days, a language that called to be the mother of all languages!

CERTIFICATIONS
I am currently working in a role with strategic importance which gave me the momentum in learning more about the functions of an HRBP.
I got a clear idea of how partnering with businesses can enhance the effectiveness of HR in an organization.
in my opinion, the HR manager can be an effective catalyst in building a healthy organizational culture and effective conflict management if they are given the opportunity to get involved in the actual business.

I tool payroll management certification since the company I am working for was undergoing payroll automation and being the person who lead the process I needed to refresh my knowledge in payroll.
The course covered the basics of payroll management such as employee classifications, deductions, tax management, reward and recognition, incentives, employee benefits, insurance, loss of pay, earned leaves etc.
Being a people manager I believe understanding the troubles of people and directing them to the right resources as the necessity arise is crucial.
I got an opportunity to be certified as an MHFA provider who is qualified to provide initial help to individuals experiencing a decline in their mental health or substance use crisis.
I have learned basic counselling skills to handle a person who is undergoing these problems professionally.
I am equipped to identify the problems and direct them to appropriate resources at the time of need.

Recently took a course on Human Resources Foundations to keep me updated with developments in HR as well as to refresh my academic knowledge.
The course covered all fundamental functions of HR and the new approaches in the field which helped me develop new insights.
Learned a few new ideas on retention, staffing, strategy, talent management, diversity management, performance management etc.
